Training

Lives to protect, hearts to save.

Let us train you to save lives!

Fondation des maladies du coeur_vf

Every seven minutes, someone dies from heart disease or a stroke in Canada.

According to Statistics Canada, cardiovascular disease is responsible for the deaths of more Canadians than any other disease.

Cardiac arrest is a medical emergency that requires rapid intervention to increase the chances of success. Only cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) can keep a person in cardiopulmonary arrest alive until the arrival of prehospital emergency services.

Cardiopulmonary resuscitation is an emergency procedure that combines chest compressions (pressure on the chest) and artificial respiration (emergency breathing). It is important to know that defibrillation can allow the fibrillating heart to start beating again.

Now, you no longer need to be a doctor to save lives! New Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) even allow people outside the medical realm to restore heartbeat and save lives.

The company therefore offers all the certifications developed by the Heart and Stroke Foundation, in particular:

Cardio Rescue CPR (C)
Immediate intensive care (IRS) for healthcare professionals (C)
Advanced Cardiovascular Resuscitation (ACS) Care for Healthcare Professionals
Advanced pediatric resuscitation (SARP) care for healthcare professionals
Cardio Rescue (A introduction to the defibrillator) and (A + practice with the defibrillator)
Immediate care / AED (c)
Health professional / DEA

Young children are the most likely to have accidents and it is essential that those around them know what to do in an emergency.

This is why the Act respecting childcare centers and other childcare services in Quebec (RSQ, c. C-8.2, s. 73) stipulates that “the holder of a daycare permit must ‘ensure that each member of his on-call staff holds a certificate, not older than 3 years and attesting to successful completion of a general first aid course lasting at least 8 hours ”.

Mandatory training

A first aid certificate is therefore required for all daycare workers.

The Premiers Soins Haute-Gatineau is accredited by the Heart and Stroke Foundation to provide excellent first aid and first aid training.
